After some speculation in early 2012 that Elsa Peretti would be taking her designs elsewhere, Tiffany & Co. and Elsa Peretti have renewed their license agreement for 20 years.
One of the longest running and most successful license partnerships in the jewelry industry, the Italian designer has been with Tiffany & Co. since 1974. Her designs are best known for being minimalist and organic, mainly in sterling silver, and some of Tiffany’s most iconic pieces. The deal is to pay Peretti US$47.3 million over the 20 years, in addition to another $9 million in basic royalties and 7% of sales over the same period. Expect to see an expanded line, particularly housewares, and more advertising in the near future.
