Dominic Jones has brought the sculptures out again to showcase his Spring 2014 jewelry collection. Animal-inspired pieces including shark teeth, ram horns and manta rays were found at the presentation, held at The Linnean (biological) Society during London Fashion Week. His signature scary but beautiful style was certainly on display, and well demonstrated with my favorite piece, the crocodile mouth necklace. Slightly terrifying, but very cool. Talk about fortuitous timing! With emerald being the color of 2013 it’s the perfect opportunity for a major ad campaign for jewelry featuring the gemstone. Gemfields, who specializes in ethically mining emeralds in Zambia, has chosen Mila Kunis as the company’s first brand ambassador. A full ad campaign will be rolled out featuring pieces by Fabergé (recently acquired by Gemfields), Alexandra Mor, Dominic Jones and more.
Along with a revamped website in the spring, a new collaboration with 37 jewelry designers will be revealed in March.
